In wintertime Madonna di Campiglio becomes a skiing paradise
Madonna di Campiglio offers countless winter sports options: thrilling downhill runs and hi-tech ski lifts, from an altitude of 850 to 2,500 meters. Miramonti canal, the most famous ski run and a historical and prestigious stage of the Alpine Ski World Cup, lights up at night so you can ski under a starry sky. There are over 150 kilometers of ski runs in the three ski districts of Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo and Folgarida-Marilleva.
The Pinzolo Campiglio Express Cablecar, almost 5 km in length, covers a gradient of 1,100 km and is divided into four stations: 2 for arrival-departure and 2 intermediate ones.
If you’re looking for an alternative to alpine skiing, Madonna di Campiglio has a cross country ski center located in Campo Carlo Magno with 22 kilometers of runs set in an evocative hollow surrounded by forest of spruce firs. Madonna di Campiglio is surrounded by the woods and enchanting landscapes of the Adamello Brenta Wildlife Park with interesting routes for trekking on snowshoes and alpine skiing. We organize excursions on dogsleds in the Piana di Nambino during the whole winter season.
In Val Brenta and Val Genova, located half an hour from Campiglio, you can engage in waterfall ice climbing, whereas the small lake in the center of the area is reserved for ice skating and, during certain times of the year, thrilling test drives take place here, during which instructors for major automobile companies will teach you how to drive safely on ice.
